The Chairman of Yei River state has called on the state authorities and other stakeholders to promote the talents among youth in different professions.
In a Radio talk show in Yei town on Tuesday, Malish Stephen Cosmas said youth should be motivated in sports activities in order to promote unity and peace in the state.
He said sports such as football should be encouraged by the state government, “football is the only activity that has been keeping the youth in Yei River state strong ever since the crisis broke out last year.”
Meanwhile, James Yata, Secretary General of theYouth Union said young people should value their lives by dressing decently, adding that most teenagers in the country were carried out by the western styles of dressing.
According to Yata, South Sudan is still far and people need to work hard to get to the standards of the developed countries, but not through indecent dressing.
“Time will come for you to wear anything of your choice but not now”.
Since the state government handed over to the Youth Union their farm, the youth in Yei River State have been so excited as they can now carry out farming activities on the land.
