A 37 year-old woman of Hai Ifwanyak area in Torit State said on Monday that she was savaged by a fox and narrowly survived from being eaten.

Speaking to Juba Monitor from Torit state hospital on Tuesday, Khamisa Augustino Oturo a mother of three children said she was attacked by a Fox while she had gone to the forest to cut grass for sale.

“I was in the forest cutting grass for sale and surprisingly a very unfamiliar wild animal similar to a dog attacked me three times,” Mrs. Oturo narrated.

Mrs. Oturo added that her husband is disabled and she was the one who caters for the family. She expressed worries for food to feed the children as she was still under treatment at the hospital.

She had been bitten by the Fox on both legs and harm.

The Police Inspector for Torit municipal council, Maj. Justine Kelupas Takuru confirmed the incident and said the organized forces managed to kill the Fox.

“The wild animal had attempted to kill the woman and her child in the forest but now it has been killed by the organized forces,” Maj. Takuru said.

He said the Wildlife authority had taken the Fox for examination to find out whether it had any sickness.
