Unified forces set to be out next week

The Presidential Adviser for National Security Affairs Tut Gatluak Manime yesterday said that the timetable for the graduation of the unified forces would be out next week in order to ensure the formation for the command structures was in place.

Speaking to Journalists Manime, said that what delayed the graduation of the forces was the cumulative political trends which involved disagreement among other forces and the formation of the Command Structure.

He said that South Sudan had not been receiving any financial support from other countries to support the army and the implementation of the peace agreement only a few countries like Ethiopia and Sudan extended their logistical support for the army through the provision of Military Uniforms.

‘’ The timetable for the graduation of the unified forces will be out next week to simplify the exercise and to ease the military workforce. What delayed the graduation was cumulative political trends which involved disagreement among other forces and the formation of the Command Structure. South Sudan has not been receiving any financial support from other Countries for the army and the implementation of the peace agreement. Only a few countries like Ethiopia and Sudan extended their logistical support for the army through the provision of Military Uniforms’’ he said

He said that all financial and logistical support for the implementation of the peace agreement came through the president of the Republic of South Sudan.

He also said that issues concerning logistics became hindering factors that delayed the graduation of the unified forces.

He called on political parties, organized forces, and the entire citizens to work towards peace and harmony.

He also thanked the Countries that worked hard towards  supporting the peace agreement through the formation of the Unified Command Structure

‘’ All financial and logistical support for the implementation of the peace agreement ascended through the president,” he said
