UAP lunches free medical checkup

UAP South Sudan Limited has launched a free medical checkup for all citizens in Juba.
Dionne Mayienga, UAP Marketing and Customer Services Manager appealed to the public to check their health regularly and not to wait until they fall sick.
“We came up with this wellness program so that our people can know their health, improve their health and then get rewards,” she said.
“Imagine when we try to engage our clients, they always question why health cost is spiking. This is why we brought this services for free,” Mayienga added.
A wellness program was first launched in Kenya in 2017 and now extended to Juba to promote and improve health and physical fitness in the citizens in the country.
“We have wellness packages such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, body mass, breast exam, visual exam and physical examination and other services,” she explained.
The wellness Camp according to Mayienga also gives free interaction of the clients and the doctors on a face to face basis where clients feel free to share their health issues.
Rose Atemo Frontado, the Acting Director of UAP Insurance South Sudan echoed that the wellness program is the first of its kind in the country.
“We are directly addressing the disease problem in the country and reports will be given to whoever is checked so that they can take next step into their health matters,” Atemo said.
Florence Duku, student in Juba appreciated the opportunity given by UAP.
“I was informed by a friend about the free medical service and I really appreciate UAP for this chance, we all know how expensive medical consultations and checkup at private hospitals are,” said Duku.
Duku revealed that she learnt how to maintain her diet from the medical camp.
The free medical checkup that has been launched on Monday at UAP building ends on the November 09th.
