Michael told Juba Monitor how the incident happened.
“We were coming from Konyokonyo along the State House road going to Thongpiny, when I was trying to cross the road unfortunately speeding Noah coming from Juba town knocked us down.”
He said the X-ray result indicated that the leg of Mary got broken and the ankle bone was seriously injured while one his (Obaja) leg got broken.
Mr. Lasu Julius, one of the relatives of Mary told Juba Monitor that the driver was arrested and he was at the police custody.
According to Lasu the driver accepted his mistake for over speeding and he has not sustained any harm during the incident.
Lasu appealed to police traffic officers to be vigilant on drivers who over speed under the influence of drugs and alcohol especially on weekends.
“It is not a new thing to all the residents of this city to get such accidents. There is much needed to be done for both drivers, riders and the traffic police to cooperate and work out the best needed of them,” said Lasu.
