TRIBUTES TO LATE PAUL JACOB KUMBO

The top leadership and the entire fraternity of Juba Monitor Newspaper would like to pay their heartfelt respect and solemn tributes to one of the longest serving members of media fraternity, late Hon. Paul Jacob Kumbo. Late Paul had an illustrious career in the media industry which spanned across many decades as an expert in information, communication and technology. He served the Nation from 1973, struggled and died in 2020 along the line of duty to his mother Ministry of Information Communication, Technology and Postal Service in the Republic of South Sudan. His service to his country and the media is immensely important and his legacy will always live to inspire generations. He set a foundation on which his successors will build a true, resilient and vibrant media in the country. As one of the media veterans, towering figure and founding members, it is well befitting for the industry to recognize the contributions of their own whose commitment to serve at his time transcended self-interest and personal ambitions. His death is a big loss not only to the family but also and more importantly to the media and the whole nation. His outstanding legacy will live on as a candle to shine every path for the young men and women who trail his footsteps. The country will always mourn this great giant but will continue to cherish his accomplishments.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
