Three thousands IDPs return to Terekeka County

Three thousands (3000) Internal Displaced Persons have returned toTerkekaCounty, Central Equatoria State.
Speaking to Press yesterday, the Chairperson for Impact Response Committee,Ladu Philip Jembekesaid the committee decidedto relocate back internal displaced Personsto right places in Kowrajik area.
“We have relocated over (3,000) three thousand households because the Impact Response committee is the body which have beentasked toreconcilethe communities took the task to relocates back the population.These people have overcrowded in schools and churches and today the committee decidedto relocate back those who left their areas during the fighting.”
He added that the Impact committee have been working hard to ensure that our population go back to the areas as well their cattle which were raided will be returned to the rightful owners.
Last week, the Impact Response Committee (IRC) hand over more than 107stolen cows and 10 goats to the rightful owners in KudaPayam, Central Equatoria State.
The Impact Response Committee indicated that agreement had been reached on resolving disputes to bring peaceful coexistence between the two sections of Mundari community.
Last year, more than 50 peoplewere reported killed and scores injured during days of inter-communal clashes between rival pastoralists in TerekekaCounty.
The two sections of Mundari Kobura and Mundari Nyangwara had misunderstanding which resulted to clashes.
