SSoW Care Foundation distributes mosquito nets to refugees

South Sudanese community based organization; SSoW Care Foundation has distributed thousands of treated mosquito nets to South Sudanese refugees living in Kiryandango settlement as an effort to fight the spread of Malaria disease.

Speaking to Juba Monitor last Saturday, Kel Tap said his organization Care Foundation has distributed thousands of mosquito nets to South Sudanese refugees to protect them from Malaria parasite.

He called for unity among the refugees and urged them to be hopeful about peace in their country.

However, the refugees in Kiryandongo have called upon the UN refugee’s agency (UNHCR) and the government of Uganda to provide more assistance to them saying the refugees lack many basic necessities. They thanked the government of Uganda and the people for their continued support to South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda.

SSoW Care Foundation also renewed the effort and support Network of South Sudanese Civil Society in Uganda with support from KAS organization always standing for the support of South Sudanese people in search for lasting peace in South Sudan.

There are over one million South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda according to the United Nations.
