SSFA Confirm referees for South Sudan Vs Uganda U-20 Match

The South Sudan football governing body-SSFA confirmed the names of officials the Confederation of African Football-CAF appointed Wednesday to officiate the second leg of the CAF U-20 match bound to kick-off this Saturday at Juba Stadium.

“CAF has released the list of referees for the return leg U-20 Qualifier against South Sudan to be played on Saturday 21st April, 2018 at Juba Stadium here in Juba. The referees are from Burundi while the match Commissioner Sylvester Kirwa is from Kenya, “said the spokesman of the South Sudan Football Association-SSFA.

The Alul said the officials will arrive in Juba either today (Thursday) or tomorrow (Friday) and that all arrangements for their reception has been completed including the lodging, feeding and transport within the city.

“CAF has also appointed a security officer for the match Rachid Medjiba from Algeria and we have made all the necessary arrangements for their accommodation and transport. We have two cars, one for the Match Commissioner and the other for the referees because we cannot put them together in one car,” Alul added.

The visitors shall arrive in Juba tomorrow (Friday) and shall train at the stadium before the kick-off on Saturday afternoon. South Sudan will be carrying a four-goal deficit into the return leg since they lost in Kampala by five goals to one.

 

The Match officials are; Georges Gatogato-Referee, Herve Kakunze-Assistant Referee 1, Gustave Baguma, Assistant Referee 2 and Thierry Nkurunziza-4th Official. Sylvester Kirwa-Match Commissioner and Rachid Medjiba-Security Officer.

Meanwhile CAF has confirmed that Uganda U-20 left back Mustafa Kizza will miss two games after getting a red card in the first leg against South Sudan at Lugogo.

‘Mustafa Kizza will miss match number 16 South Sudan vs Uganda, the first leg of the following round of this competition in case Uganda qualifies or his next match with the National team in case of elimination’ CAF statement.

The match kicks off at 4:00 O’clock local time and the gates open at midday.
