South Sudan Bright Star players U-20 left back Debbo Julius has extended his contract with Busoga United FC for two more years till 2022.
According to the statement published in their official website busogautdfc.com the Club Vice President, Bwire Osodo Godfrey said Debbo Julius has been part of the long-term technical plan and the club is happy to extend his contract.
“We are delighted to confirm that South Sudan International player left Back Debbo Julius Jr agreed a two year contract extension to stay with the Mighty Arena until 2022. He will bring the right balance to our squad” he stated.
Julius is a versatile player who operates as a midfielder and left back. He played for bright Stars under 23 National Team and he was part of the squad for the U-23 African Cup of Nations preliminary qualifiers which eliminated Uganda Cranes U-23 on both league (2-1 Aggregate) and Bright Star U-20 Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA-U20) held in Kampala-Uganda in towns of Gulu and Jinja- Njeru Technical Centre.
Busoga United is a team in the first division Ugandan league and completed the 2019/2020 season in fourth position 42 points out 25 matches played winning 13 games, drawing 3 and losing 9 before the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) annulled the season due to Covid-19 outbreak.
In other related transfers news involving South Sudanese player, Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) has completed the signing of Yakubu Ramathan from Lusaka Dynamos FC in Zambia on a free transfer.
In an official statement from the club confirms singing of the player on a two years contract.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Yakubu Ramathan. Yakubu has finally signed a two year contract with us from Lusaka Dynamos” Reads the statement.
Prior singing for MYDA, Yakubu has played AFC Leopards in Kenya and Sports Club Villa in Uganda.
MYDA was topping the Eglon Region table standing before they were promoted to the Uganda Primer league (UPL) whereas Busoga United finished 2019/2020 season in the fourth place with 42 points out 25 games played, winning 13 drawing 3, losing 2 before the season was annulled in May due to Covid -19 outbreak.
