South Sudan wins a medal in day-one of the ANOCA ZONE V Games in Rwanda

South Sudan has won a bronze medal in the 400M race in the first day of the ongoing Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA Zone five) Genocide memorial games in Rwanda.

Joseph Akoon Akoon earned South Sudan’s first medal at the ANOCA Zone V in Rwanda yesterday.

South Sudan lost to Burundi in the basketball discipline at the youth games in Huye, Rwanda yesterday.

The inaugural regional event was organized by the Rwanda Olympic Committee and is scheduled for April 2-6 in Huye. The event will host twelve African countries.
