S. Sudanese student wins Miss IUEA beauty contest

A South Sudanese student has won the Miss International University of East Africa (IUEA) beauty contest; a colorful event organized by the IUEA in Kampala.
The contest won by 19-year-old, Tina Madut Biar, a South Sudanese student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at IUEA, took place last week at the University’s main campus.
Speaking to Juba Monitor newspaper, Tina said the award is a special dedication to fight hatred (hate speech) among South Sudanese.
“My award will bring everlasting peace because South Sudan and entire Africa needs peace,” Tina said.
“I thank the University Administration, especially, the Resident Director, Mr. Hassan Alwi, for being supportive. He always encouraged me to continue modeling until I achieve my target.”
She also thanked South Sudanese nationals, her fellow students and the entire University staff for the support they rendered to her.
The Resident Director of IUEA, Mr. Hassan Alwi Jr congratulated Tina for winning the University’s prestigious award, saying that she has made the university proud.
“I would like to take this golden opportunity to congratulate Tina Madut Biar for making International University of East Africa proud.”
“Remember more of such unique events are coming because our objective is to inspire young people to achieve their set targets in life, and the right place to practice that, is International University of East Africa because we have the capacity and experts to train and nurture our students of difference careers in life,” said the Residence Director.
According to the views of her fellow students, Tina is a respectful person, who respects people regardless of where they come.
The Miss International University of East Africa (IUEA) beauty contest is an annual event organized by the university to enable students discover their talents at the MISS and Mr. IUEA beauty competition.
