Authorities in Amadi State said a community Radio will be launched in Mundri February 2020.
In an interview with Juba Monitor yesterday, Dudu Sebit the Amadi State Information Minister said she was in Juba to follow up on the program.
It is a donation from the Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) through the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
“They assured me that early next year in February the radio will be officially lunched and this Friday some engineers will go to access the place and start the installation.”
Ms. Dudu hailed CEPO for clearing all the money needed for full installation.
She appealed to the residents to be patient as they are ready to deliver on their promise for a Radio station to become operational next year in the state.
Dudu said the MTN management has also agreed to reconnect network in places where it has been shut down during the conflict.
She said in every society communication is very important, adding that it was only through telecommunication that people can give message to others.
