According to the suspension letter seen by Juba Monitor, the University said the letter written by Prof. Lo-Liyong was the right of self-expression and amounts to incitement of ethnic hatred and bringing the name of the University into disrepute.
The letter said the, “The Vice Chancellor has directed your suspension from your duties without pay effective from February 10, 2020 pending investigations to be constituted to look into the case,” reads the suspension letter.
