One killed in Bule Payam, Lopa County

At least one person has been killed by a suspected cattle raiders in Bule Payam, Lopa County Eastern Equatoria State yesterday.
Speaking to Juba Monitor by phone, Sebit Lokori Bule’s Payam Sub-Chief said the suspected cattle criminals killed an old man early morning hours of Wednesday.
“These raiders came to my area on Wednesday at around three o’clock early morning. They got an old man guarding a primary health Centre, after taking water from the bore-hole, they killed the man and left,” Chief Lokori said.
He added that the assailants stole three cows from a certain village before they reach Bule Payam.
“The criminals are six in number and when we follow their footprint, we found they were taking along three cows which they steal from another village,” he explained.
Chief Lokori stressed that the youth of the area are still following the footprint for the suspects, adding that the Payam leadership held an emergency meeting after which the report will be raised to the State authorities.
Cattle rustling has been a nuisance incidence which has caused loss of lives among cattle keepers in the country.
