The Deputy chair The National Pre-Transitional Committee (NPTC) has urged the people of South Sudan to be optimistic ahead of a meeting between the signatories to the peace deal and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) this week.

Speaking to media on earlier this week, NPTC Deputy Chair and member of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) Gabriel Changson said they are going to discuss the outstanding issues, adding that there is hope it could bare a positive outcome.

“So we are going to meet IGAD and I hope those issues will be discussed. I am optimistic that in one way or another, solutions will be found where all the parties will agree to it,’’said Changson.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit, opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar, and other parties to the Revitalized Agreement on Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan are expected to meet on Friday this week in Addis Ababa to discuss the formation of Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity which is scheduled November 12th.
