Minister Awut inaugurates diplomatic residence in Kampala

South Sudan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Awut Deng Acuil has commissioned a diplomatic residence in Ugandan Capital Kampala
South Sudanese nationals living in Uganda converged at South Sudan new residence meant for Ambassadorial officials and the event was attended by about eleven ambassadors and high commissioners accredited to the republic of Uganda to grace the occasion.
Also present was the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mayen Dut Wol. The event was attended by also attended by South Sudanese traditional dancers at the residence situated in Munyonyo.
In her opening remarks, Acuil thanked the people and the government of Uganda under the wise leadership of President Kaguta Museveni for hosting South Sudanese citizens without discrimination.
Acuil said the decision taken by President Salva Kiir was not easy decision to reach but for the sake of peace and suffering of the people.
The Minister called on South Sudanese in and outside the country to support decision taken by the President as it has taken the step closer to lasting peace.
Awut reaffirmed government readiness and commitment to form the government of national unity because South Sudanese people cannot afford to be making headlines all the time because of wrong reasons.
