Media houses in Torit urged to expand coverage

TORIT- Imotong state government spokesperson and minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sportsurged media houses to expand their level of coverage to unreachable areas.
Josephine Akulang calls on the state media houses to expand coverage to other counties of the state for wider knowledge of events taking place all over the state.
Onseparate news,Akulangappeals to all the different units in her ministry to engage with developmental partners working in the state and beyond to lobby for support towards government mouthpiece, the voice of Eastern Equatoria radio 97.5fm.
The state minister further told the technocrats in their weekly meeting that the aim is to evaluate the performance of all units in the different departments and that it is routine policy of the ministry.
She added that despite the limited budget in the state to fund activities of the government owned radio 97.fm, journalists should double their efforts in providing quality local news citing in respond to the training that journalists underwent last month impacted on the performance of the ministry.
Akulang revealed that it is her ministry’s responsibility to deliver the right information that can benefit the people of Imotong state and South Sudan at large.
