Media houses given two weeks to register

The Media Authority has issued a fourteen day notice to all media houses in the country to register before September 21st 2017, to avoid fines and deregistration according to the Media Authority Act 2013.
In a public notice sent to media houses, the Media Authority said broadcasting, printing companies, newspapers, film production companies and other media production companies must register and renew their licenses in compliance with the Media Law requirements.
In a list of one hundred and four media agencies, only thirty three have so far registered such as; Juba Monitor, Bakhita Radio, City FM, Classic FM, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) among others.
