Man beats wife to death in Torit

A forty-three year old man has beaten his wife to death at Hai-Ifuwanyak residential area in Torit State on Wednesday.
Torit State Police Spokesperson Major. Ochan Matthew confirmed to Juba Monitor in a phone interview that Mr. Arkangelo Loboli who belongs to SPLA wounded heroes Division beat his wife to death under the influence of alcohol.
He said Natalina Eyea Lokwali Loboli was killed at around 5:00am. “Mr. Arkangelo Loboli who was drunk fought his wife the whole night and finally killed her,” Maj. Ochan said.
He said Mr. Loboli was in the custody at Torit police Central Division after he had been handed over to the police by the community.
However, Maj Ochan added that Mr. Loboli had pleaded guilty saying he was drunk and did not know what had happened.
According to police report, this was for the second that a woman had been killed by her husband. In 2017 a man killed his wife at Hai-Murwari residential area of Torit State.
