Man arrested for slaughtering dog for sale

A man has been arrested for allegedly slaughtering a dog for sale in Nimule yesterday.
Speaking to Juba Monitor, an anonymous eye witness said the man was suspected by the public living in the area before his arrest.
According to the eye witness, the suspect was believed to have been doing the act for quite long.
“The suspect has been found selling dog’s meat and he is arrested in the morning today,” the eyewitness said.
The case was confirmed by Deng Tiol, the Head of Nimule station police CID.
Tiol stated that a case has been opened after the man was arrested by police.
“They found him with the male dog and I immediately ordered the opening of the case,” said Col. Tiol.
He stated that the suspect confessed for selling dog’s meat in Hai Motoyo upon his arrival in Nimule.
Tiol added that the suspect has been detained in Nimule police station.
He revealed that the suspect known as Iddi David, a Congolese by nationality admitted that he has been selling dog meat at three thousand South Sudanese pounds per kilogram.
