A local youth association known as Nyaret Youth Association (NYA) has donated food items to Juba Home Orphanage.
Welcoming the Youth Association, the Director of the orphanage Mr. Angelo Kenyi appreciated the initiative of association in celebrating the Christmas with the Children.
Kenyi urged the Society to be supportive to the Orphans and highlighted some challenges facing the orphanage; some of which are lack of adequate feeding, medicine and firewood.
“The Children are 61 in number, both boys and girls, the shelters are not enough to accommodate them,” he said.
On his part, the Chairperson of Nyaret youth Association Mr. Angelo Swaka who spoke on behalf of the Association, said they as Youth Association felt morally obliged to initial the fundraising so that in the spirit of Christmas these Children can join the rest of the children out there in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The fundraising was collected from the business Community of Koburi Habuba Market at Gudele two.
He said asking for assistance from People is not easy because most people don’t trust individuals asking for help using the name of orphans because of bad experience from some people who are on the streets of Juba begging in the name of Orphans when indeed the assistances go to individual pockets.
He appreciated the Traders of Habuba Market as well as Chamber of Commerce of the same market and administration of Luri Central Boma and Rombur for their support and cooperation.
Nyaret Youth Association is a non-political Association which focuses on Youth participation in elevating their social economic status in entrepreneurship, positive social practices and agricultural productivity.
