Local artists record tribute songs for Emma47

A group of 25 local artists based in Kampala are recording a tribute song titled RIP Emma47. The song is being recorded at Jams Records, a South Sudanese owned studio in Kampala.

The song features artists such as D Cargo, Young Bullet, Sbizzy, Jay Bizzy, Mike Apass, Teto, Saab Jay, Elnai Gudman, Twise B,Jay K, Gtwo, Samse Sam and Be lovely Doksy and many other artists.

The song is expected to be out on Thursday according to Sbizzy, the coordinating artist saying that two artists based in Australia are expected to send their song data by the end of Wednesday.

Tribute song recording is a norm in the music industry all over the world as artists’ sign of paying condolences to their fallen ones.

Meanwhile, the artists who are based in Juba including Rhapsody, Queen Zee, Rover D, Jay Family and Hard Life Avenue on Tuesday at Sound Wizard studio recorded a tribute song for Late Emma47.

The group that was chaired by Moro Lokombu of Miraya FM on Tuesday evening met at Mask Bar and discussed how the Late Emma47’s family would be supported.
