Kiir relieves Terekeka State governor

President Salva Kiir has issued a decree relieving the Governor of Terekeka State– Augustino Lako.
In a separate second republican decree read on the state-run SSBC on Wednesday evening, Kiir replaced Agustino Lako with Jacob Gore Samuel.
Lako came into office in January replacing Juma Ali Malou.
There were no immediate reasons given for the sacking, however in the past weeks the state has been rocked by insecurity.
Last week clashes between cattle herders in Terekeka state left at least 18 people dead and 36 six others injured.
The State Authorities said the clashes erupted after a group of cattle keepers were said to have prevented the others from crossing over to its original cattle camp.
