The Champions of Yei, Dream FC lost to Kator FC, the Champions of Juba Konyo-Konyo league by two goals to one in a tight match in the South Sudan Premier League on Saturday at Juba Stadium.

Dream FC took the lead in the first half when midfielder Mercimino set their top finisher, who brilliantly forced the ball in between goalkeeper Dida’s legs, and the fans went loud and noisy as they celebrated the Small London Champion’s goal.

However, the joy was short lived as Kator’s striker, Jimmy managed to tap in an equalizing goal from forward Daniel Boki’s calculated cross from the right side of the pitch to make the score level (1-1) at halftime.

The second half picked the same momentum as Kator continued to waste a handful more of chances they created. The Juba Konyo-Konyo league champions needed Coach Bilal’s tactical and brilliant substitution to change the game.

Bilal introduced Alex Lomoro, who is commonly known as Lungu, in the 78th minute of the game. Lungu fired a shot that need a deflection from Dream’s defender, Mikel to send the goalkeeper to the wrong way. Dream performed well throughout the match, conceding only unavoidable goals.

Kator are now comfortably sitting on top of the Group “A” table with six points and seven goals out of two matches played.

Speaking to Juba Monitor, Kator’s head coach, Bilal Felix said he was pleased with the results of the match, praising his players for fighting back after conceding a goal in the first half.

Bilal said he was not surprised by the standing performance put by Dream FC from Yei, saying; “I know that the teams, which are coming from the states are good. They are not easy to beat.”

While his counterpart, the Coach of Dream FC said he was unlucky to concede the winning goal at a time when the match looked like ending in a draw.

Coach Wilson Madhal Mawien said his side will not lose hope because they still have three more matches to play. Mawien thanked the fans for turning up to support their home boys.

Dreams will play their next match on Monday against the champion of Bor.
