Juba Monitor’s staff celebrate Yaba Odongo’s 66th birthday

Juba Monitor Staff have celebrated the 66th Yaba Odongo’s birthday as well as 37 years working in the profession of journalism. Yaba Odongo is the Juba Monitor’s Managing Editor.

Addressing the gathering at Juba Monitor’s premises during the birthday, Juba Monitor’s Editor-in-Chief, Anna Nimiriano said Odongo’s birthday is a new start, a fresh beginning and a time to pursue new endeavors with new goals to move forward with confidence and courage.  

“We want to take your birthday as an opportunity to acknowledge your hard work. Today is the day you were brought into this world to be a blessing and inspiration to the people around you. May the Almighty God give more birthdays to fulfill your entire dream,” Nimiriano said.

She added that may your special day be filled with all the good things that you deserve, and may all your wishes come true.

Meanwhile, the Managing Editor for Juba Monitor Odongo Odoyo, earlier encouraged journalists to be strong in the profession, adding that it is not easy to be a journalist.

“When you are a journalist you will go through difficulties and if you are not strong enough you may not get long in this field,”Odongo added.

He has worked in several media houses both local and international, such as New York Times and others, he has also natured many journalists in Africa in general and here in South Sudan in Particular. Juba Monitor has a privilege of his wealthy experience in the field making the Newspaper a leading paper in the nation. May God bless him with more years to celebrate many birthdays.
