JM Kennedy thrills fans in Juba

The West Nile music legend, JM Kennedy famously known for his “Baksoi” hit song has thrilled his fans over the week ends in Juba.

The artist first performed at Secret Corner that was packed to its apex mainly by ladies as they “Bakosi”, “Waka-waka”, “missing you” and other hits songs of the JK Kennedy.

“Waka-waka”song was played twice upon request by one fan who offered SSP 2000 for the Dj to play the song again.

“I am buying this song at 2000SSP, I would like to invite all the West Nile community who are here and as well the supporters of Onduparaka to come on stage and dance with JM Kennedy,” one of the excited fans said.

On Saturday it was a double event as the singer performed in Jeikko Hotel Gumbo and Mask Bar and Bistro respectively, the turn up at Jeikko Hotel was poor due to the evening down pour in Juba

Martha Jeikko, the manager of the Gumbo number one hangout told Juba Monitor that rain and the kick of fasting for Muslim affected the show.

“JM Kennedy has big fan base here but today, the rain and the start of Ramadan has affected the turn up, but all the same the singer excited those who came,” said the Manager

JM Kennedy whose real name is Mabira Kennedy advised investors to invest in the music industry of South Sudan saying music here is capable of conquering the world.

“The music in Juba is growing so faster, all what the artists need is serious investors to invest in their music, so that they can do quality music for the world market,” the singer made the remarks during a talk show at Capital FM on Friday.
