Jimmy Arabu battles with Africa’s finest for award

South Sudanese singer Jimmy Arabu is currently battling with Africa’s finest stars for the sixth Stargt Awards in the category of the best Male artist in Africa.
Jimmy Arabu is on the battle with Dr Jose Chameleon from Uganda, Burna Boy (Nigeria),Victor AD RED EYE(Nigeria),Ray Vanny(Tanzania),AKA(South Africa),Fally IPUPA(Congo) and King Promise from Ghana.
The sixth Straqt Awards 2019 will take place on the 26th of October in South African city of Johannesburg and South Sudanese and fans of Jimmy Arabu voted wisely for South Sudanese to be represented.
It is the first time in the History of South Sudan’s music industry for its own to be nominated in such an award and Jimmy Arabu revealed that he believes that he will bring the award home with the country’s support.
“The battle is tough but I believe if the country votes, we shall bring the award home and make everyone proud, so my country men and women lets vote and make mother land proud,” said Jimmy.
Jimmy Arabu who is currently in Juba told Juba Monitor that the Starqt Awards have been following his music and selected him for the award and he hopes to win.
Though the award features Africa’s best singers Jimmy Arabu who is the youngest in the category is so confident that he will win the award.
Jimmy Arabu is a South Sudanese singer based in Kampala but comes to South Sudan frequently to visit his family and friends.
