Jebel Kotein Football Club promoted to Juba league

Jebel Kotein Football Club of Eastern Equatoria State has been promoted to Juba league after being crowned as the Winners ofSouth Sudan cup in Kapoeta over the weekend.

Addressing the media over the weekend, the Captain for Jebel Kotein FC Papa Paulsaid his team was ready to compete in any tournament in Juba city.

“My team is determined and can compete with the national players in the capital Juba, afterwinning the South Sudan Cup Kapoeta, we now believe that once given the chance to come to Juba, we can play man to man with the football clubs in Juba, we have all it takes to play and may be even beat the teams in the city”, said Paul

He added that the team spirit and hard work amongst his team mates are the strongest motivation and factors encouraging them to be ready for any team.

He revealed that beating St. Mary Football club was not easy. “I appreciate his team for the efforts put because St. Mary is a great team in Kapoeta but we managed to beat them, now we need other teams to challenge us and this explains why we are ready for Juba and any other team across the country,

The joy of watching young men play together was also witnessed by the Mayor of Kapoeta Municipality Elia Lokuda Lonyia who also announced plans to kick start a girls’ tournament,” he added.

Meanwhile the Secretary of Kapoeta Football Federation Faruk Lino Lohai    appreciated the teams and appealed to the government to support sports in the state.

The President of Jebel Kotein Football Club Losike Albert   said that he started the club to pave way for young talented players in the state to showcase their talents,

Losike also revealed that he has plans to open a football Academy in Kapoeta to nature football skills.
