Immigration Department deploy professional staff

The Director General of Nationality, Passport and Immigration Lt. Gen. Majak Akech Malok says his department has deployed more professional staff and equipment to ease the provision of National Certificates and Passports to the citizens of the country.

Gen. Malok said the department of Immigration has seen progress in services delivery to civilians through issuing Nationality Certificates and Passports to ensure that all citizens get the document in time.

Speaking to journalists in his office yesterday, Gen. Malok said his doctorate had managed to supply states and embassies with equipment and professional staff to ensure that accurate, timely and efficient work is done in accordance with the demand of the citizens both regionally and in the diaspora.

“I would like to take this opportunity to inform the general public that the directorate is concerned that every citizen has to get necessary documents in time to lessen the suffering of South Sudanese while processing their documents”, he said.

Gen. Malok revealed that his office had seen remarkable success for the last thirteen months.

Gen. Malok said that they are working to serve the interest of the people to realize the dream of being the first class citizens to benefit from the services of your country by having access to all required documents as citizens.

He continued that the directorate has managed to train young qualified officers whose roles are to carry out professional work within South Sudan and in other countries.

Gen. Malok acknowledged the role played by the government in negotiating with Uganda in reducing the visa and airport fees to 50 USD which he said is considered as part of the cooperation agreement between the two sisterly countries.

He urged all South Sudanese to adhere to the laws and regulations of processing documents by making sure that all papers of the applicants are evaluated and verified to maintain existing legal framework of acquiring valid documents.
