Hundreds of both South Sudanese turned for the most anticipated peace Marathon that was organized by Juba Biking and Hiking club and supported by m-GURUSH.
The Marathon that kicked off at 6:00am in the morning hours of Saturday saw peace lovers run not to be winners but to exercise and interact with each other.
Alor Kuola Amath, one of the participants told Juba Monitor that the peace Marathon was a moment to remind everyone in the country that each can play role towards peace building.
It was a moment to make new friends and build the network for Alor and his friends and work colleagues.
“As we drive towards having lasting peace, we are reminded that peaceful coexistence amongst our family, neighbors, workmates and everyone in the country is important,” said Alor.
The Peace Marathon was organised under the theme “So that South Sudan becomes one hearted again.”
