Gov’t to construct hospital in Gudele

The national Minister of Health Dr. Riak Gai Kok said construction of a modern hospital at Gudele will start in November 05th
According to the project, the hospital dubbed Abu Dhabi Hospital will be constructed in Gudele Block 7 to cover 7000 SQ.
He was addressing the press yesterday during handover ceremony of 7000 SQM of land for the construction of the hospital.
The hospital shall be constructed by Venture International Ltd, and ICS Group of Companies as gift from Abu Dhabi to the people of South Sudan.
Dr. Kok said after the completion of the hospital Jubek State government will construct the road leading to the hospital.
Minister of Physical Infrastructure Francis Swaka hailed the construction of the hospital.
He said it was a big step in rescuing the lives of the people in the area.
He added that people in Juba are losing their lives because of poor health services.
“It is very difficult for the people to take their loved ones to Juba hospital because of its distance. This hospital is going to deliver services to the people around here, and it is going to be a referral hospital,” Francis said.
“I don’t want anybody to block whatever is going to take place here, it is part of the services to the people,” he stressed.
Sally Samuel, Jubek State Minister of Health said health service is very important.
“When you look at Juba, the development is hospital to give services to the people in the other regions like Uganda and Kenya,” he said.
Engineer Said El haj from the Venture International Limited said the hospital shall cost 10 million USD.
He said the project will also provide job opportunity to the local people in the area.
“We need skilled and non-skilled labor and it is the priority for the community,” Said added
The work is expected to be completed after two years.
