The government has pledged to support the disabled persons in the country.

Speaking during the launch, the Vice President Nyandeng said that disability should not define the future of anyone whether in this country or anywhere, assuring that the government was going to initiate projects to support persons with disabilities.
“Recreational centers on how to contribute to our national reconciliation dialogue to bring sustainable peace to our people will all be done in South Sudan,” said Nyandeng.
She added that the government was going to provide persons with disabilities with short term projects to make them part of economic development and nation building.
The Vice President for Gender and Youth Cluster also said empowering the disabled would bring hope which will make them contribute effectively to the nation building.
The support to the disabled will include providing grinding mill machines and mobility equipment such as blind sticks, wheelchairs, eye glasses, and hearing aids.
