Good example of late Rev. Akway

Anna Nimiriano Editor in Chief Juba Monitor

There is nothing in this world than to be praised if you did well during your life. Late Rev. Akway Ochudho Goora Agaanya who died on 24 July 2020 in Gambella / Ethiopian, the funeral was conducted in several places including in Juba, South Sudan. It was because he made history in Anywaa community and Presbyterian Church of South Sudan and Sudan at large.

Such kinds of people are difficult to get in the situation where there are a lot of bad things happening in government institutions, communities as well as the church in general. If we evaluate the current leaderships in the church and government, there are many things that were not pleasing God. It was due to lack of good leadership, tribalism and so many others to mention among the few.

Several oldest Pastors did not have highest qualification in Academics, but they were doing well in any field they had chosen. They respected church orders and commandments that guide people to do the right things. It was because those servants of God joined the vocation to serve people of God, not only serving but they were true servants of God, the chosen ones. Addition to that, the big rewards will be given to you from God not by your people or communities. Since God is the one keeping our daily records according to what we are doing. Judgment is a secret of God at the end of the world. What people are doing on earth is according to human nature not supernatural nature. If you want to be recognized, do things according to what God wanted you to do. Do not do as human beings whose minds are limited and not seeing widely.

The world is small to God although human beings discovered many technologies; it cannot be equal to God. Anywaa community in Juba should continue to praise God for having historical Pastor who taught them faith.

May God bless us all.
