Four S. Sudanese in Federation Uganda Basketball squad

Four South Sudanese basketball players has been named in the federation of Uganda Basketball Association squad for the upcoming FIBA AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers that will be played from November 27-29 in Alexandria, Egypt.

Deng Geu, David Deng Kongor, Geoffrey Soro, and Titus Lual Odeke are some of the players in the 18 man’s provisional squad. Deng Deng Geu, David Deng Kongor and Titus Lual Odeke plays their professional games Uganda Christian University Canons FC in Uganda, while Titus Lual Odeke who is a South Sudanese and plays for Corba FC Juba was also named in the squad as well.

Last year Deng Geu and the teammate featured in the top flight league guiding Uganda Christian University to the play-off  but went ahead to the lose the game 4-3 the City Oilers.

Uganda is drawn along host Egypt, Morocco and the winners of the pre-qualifiers tournament to take place in November in Yaoundé Cameroon.
