Former SSBC Managing Director reinstated into office

The suspension of SSBC Managing Director has been lifted by the Ministerial order No. 2/2020 on Monday.

According to the Ministerial Order read on SSBC, In Exercise of Powers vested upon me vide the Presidential Decree No. 33/2020 and cognizant of the Ministerial Order No. 2/2020. I, Michael Makuei Lueth, Minister of Information, Communication Technology & Postal Services in the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity and as the Competent Minister in charge of Policy and guidance of South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), do hereby issue this ministerial order;

This Order shall be cited as Ministerial Order No. 07/ 2020 for lifting of suspension of the Managing Director of South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Mr. James Magok Chilim and to resume his work effective 29th December 30, 2020. He is advised to refrain from disrespectful behavior to his superiors and should establish cordial and good working relations with his colleagues and subordinates.

The order also allowed effective handover of the office to James Magok and ensuring that, he has to receive fully his salary payment.

However, the Managing Director was welcomed happily by the staff as a reporter of Juba Monitor witnessed the MD meetings with his staff when he went to pick up the reinstatement document from the SSBC.

Mr. John Wulu Deng, a Dinka language newsreader wrote on his Facebook page that;

“He is pleased to welcome James Magok to SSBC. He is a hardworking person with good cooperation among the staff in SSBC,” his FaceBook post read.
