Former Civil Service Commission dies in Nairobi

The former chairperson of the National Civil Service Commission David GwokKok has passed on in Kenya after a short illness.

According to James Hoth Mai, the national Minister of labor, the late succumbed to a kidney failure on Sunday in Nairobi hospital.

‘’The demise of the late David who was 90 happened after he succumbed to a kidney failure on Sunday after being referred to Nairobi hospital on Saturday ’’ Hoth said

He further said that Late David Gwok died as a Chairman of Wujikang Community and was one of the members who contributed to the liberation of South Sudan since Anyanya one as well as the Addis Ababa agreement.

He reiterated that Late David was an Anyanya One fighter during Sudan Civil war and later on joined the Liberation struggle in 1997.

Hoth said that Late David also served as the representative of the movement in Congo and Ethiopia where he finally served as a chair of the Service Civil Commission in Juba.

He added that the Late served in several positions in the Anyanya movement and contributed a lot towards the freedom of the people of the Republic of South Sudan.

Hoth termed the death of David as a big loss to South Sudanese liberators and brain of thoughts, especially to the whole Nuer Community.

Hoth said that the remains for the Late was expected to arrive Juba this week and would be buried in Malakal town of upper Nile State.
