Fatal accident leaves one dead inMunuki

A fatal accident that occurred at Jerusalem pharmacy junction in munuki suk Maliia over the weekend left one person dead.
Speaking to Juba Monitor yesterday, an eye witness who only identified herself by the name Harriet said that there were two motorcyclists who collided and one of them was crashed by an over speeding swage tank.
“They were boda bodas coming from different sides and they collided then the swage tank crashed the other one when they all fell down,” said Harriet.
She stated that the driver of the Swage tank took off on foot.
Harriet said that she was not sure of how the survivor is now doing as she left the scene of the accident shortly by taxi
However, when Juba monitor contacted the police on Sunday morning to find out more about the details, the number was un reachable.
The research conducted by South Sudan Journal to investigate whether violation of traffic rules is the most cause of road traffic accidents in the country, concluded that a comprehensive safety system is needed that is premised on the idea of community based awareness of traffic rules and safety regulation.
The result of the research indicated that 99.5 percent road accidents are caused by male driversaged between 20 to 30 years who are not under the influence of alcohol.
