EAC releases 25, 0000 USD
The East African Community has released 25000 USD for re-designing its Logo, the Secretary for South Sudan East African community secretariat said.
Mou Mou Athian Kuol said the EAC Brand Architecture Strategy comes in the wake of the admission of the Republic of South Sudan and the possibility of the future expansion of the Community in line with Article 3 of the Treaty establishing the EAC Kuol added.
“The EAC Brand Architecture Strategy proposes several initiatives that include, the re-designing of a new EAC logo and flag, developing common unique identifications for all organs and institutions; developing one primary (main) EAC corporate color, one secondary color and developing a single visual identity for the Community members,” he said.
Kuol said EAC has eight institutions in different partner states each with a different logo. He said rebranding the Community will pave way for the development of the all institutions and organs of the community like the East African Court of Justice and the East African Legislative Assembly.
He said the initiative is to create more opportunities for the students who are in Universities in South Sudan and the youth who will be interested in the competition.
“The winner will be considered as East African Community member and will be given a position in the high administration,” Kuol said.
He said EAC is one of the fastest growing regional economic blocs in the world saying the bloc is widening and facilitating the mutual co-operation among the Partner States.
