Dream Fc extend lead in Yei Premier League

In Yei, Dream football club extended their lead on the Yei local premier league table by three (3) points as Luzira Super Stars drew 2-2 with City Corps on Sunday.

Dream beat Rainbow FC on Saturday by two goals to one to create three points gap. Play-maker, Peter Mercyminho opened the score with a low free kick before Rainbow’s defender Dusman, headed in an equalizer. However, Dream went ahead just few minutes into second half when midfielder, Anthony Ladu, also known as Galdino put the ball into the back of the net to separate the two sides.

It was such a hard game that left several players injured. Dream in particular had three players; Defender, Pazlo Emmanuel suffered a broken arm, while goal keeper, Banja Tom injured his thigh. Several other players suffered ankle injuries including, Emmanuel Aloro and Rainbow’s Taya John suffered a head injury when they collided while heading the ball.

City Corps held Super Stars to a two all draw on Sunday. That result made the Luzira boys to lag three points behind leaders, Dream.

Super Stars scored both goals through Sam Zaka, unfortunately, Alemin Alisama equalized the first goal and Bida Walcot netted in a goal at injury time to take home a point from the Super Stars. City Corp’s goal keeper, Adada Emmanuel did some marvelous saves from Super Star’s winger, Luis Leon when he fired some hot shots from close range in the second half.

In the second division game played yesterday, City Stars played the unbeaten Fly United Fc side. Fly Fc is the only unbeaten team in the second division league after Black 04 lost to Salam FC last week.

In Juba, the battle is still between the giant clubs, Kator, Merik and Atlabara football clubs. Kator and Merik are tied on 27 points apiece with Kator leading the table, and Merik following them. Meanwhile, Atlabara comes in the third position with 25 points. The battle continues.
