The leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) has returned to Khartoum on Monday leaving the citizens in worry as they were expecting developments on the outstanding issues.
Last week Dr. Machar met President Salva Kiir in Juba to discuss the outstanding issues on security arrangement and formation of the next government on 12th November 2019.
Dr. Machar said he would not be part of the next government until the security arrangements are made and the issue of number of states resolved. He also called for another three months’ extension.
The SPLA-IO Director for information Pouk Both Bulang, said they have taken the moral obligation to protect the people of South Sudan.
“We want to have a country that everyone will be proud of but not this country that we have now so the security arrangement is very important, security in general is the core of any development,” Pouk said.
