Azande Students’ Union in Uganda elects new leader

Azande Students’ Union in Uganda has elected its new leader.

Mark Zaza won the election with total votes of 72 of the 81 students who voted for him, getting 88.9%.

The Azande Students’ Union was formed in 2018 by its former president Mr. Innocent Bati.

Joseph Simon, a student at Cavendish University and Secretary General of the electoral committee congratulated the newly elected president of Azande Students’ Union Mark Zaza for the victory.

“We the community shall support your leadership at the community level in order to achieve political objectives of reorganizing our citizens for the peace and peaceful coexistence with our fellow South Sudanese,” he said.

The Electoral Committee chairlady Sarafina Gabriel said the handover ceremony was scheduled for new week.
