Albino congratulates Bright Stars on arrival home

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Albino Bol Dhieu congratulated the South Sudan national team, Bright Stars on their arrival after winning against the Ugandan Cranes at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Albino said the national team has done a tremendous job that everyone including the government is very proud of.
“What you have achieved in Nairobi is what the South Sudanese need, we are yearning for peace and unity and Sports is the common language that can unite our people as one. I am very proud of you and it is my wish that we give more victories and score more goals in the coming games,” Albino said.
Albino also added that the Bright Stars’ win proved that South Sudan has the potential of having quality players with one spirit of nationalism.
The South Sudan national team, the Bright Stars left for Uganda on 8th November 2020 for their first away game against the Cranes then to Nairobi Kenya on Friday.
Last week, the national team went to Uganda and Kenya to play their first and second leg matches respectively and arrived home yesterday after beating their illustrious neighbors from Nyayo National Stadium by the same margin as that in Kampala last week.
Bright Stars picked their first three points of the AFCON 2021 Qualifiers after a 1-0 win over the Ugandan Cranes on Monday evening at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Bright Stars will face Malawi and Burkina Faso in a Home and Away match on 22nd and 30th March 2021 respectively in March next year in the Total AFCON 2021 Qualifiers.
The top two finishers of each group will qualify for the final tournament in Cameroon next year.
