“On 13th November, around 10:30 AM, a young boy of 12 years old drowned in Kinetye River. People started searching for the body and at around 4:25 PM, the body was recovered. His name is Senke James, he recently returned from the camp and you know some camps don’t have the rivers that is why he did not know how to swim,” Captain Stephen said.

“He went with his colleagues that is why he drowned, the colleagues rushed home after the boy drowned that is why people mobilized themselves to search for his body,” he explains.

Stephen urges parents to ensure that their children do not go to the river to avoid drowning in the overflowing Kinetye river.

“I want to inform the mothers and fathers to guide their children to avoid going to this river, it is dangerous when it overflows, now that it continues to rain it might overflow again,” he advices.
