ONE MORE STUDENT OFF TO INDIA TO STUDY ENGINEERING

Indian Ambassador S. D. Moorthy handed over the visa and ticket to Mr. Andrew Awet Thon Ghum to study Electronics

Indian Ambassador S. D. Moorthy handed over the visa and ticket to Mr. Andrew Awet Thon Ghum to study Electronics, Computer and Electrical Engineering course in Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. The course is for four years which will fully be sponsored by Government of India under Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarship. Mr. Andrew is from a poor family background from Tonj State. He is a bright student and eager to go for higher studies in India. He studied his senior secondary level at Don Bosco School, Gumbo, Juba.

Mr. Andrew recalled Ambassador Moorthy’s visit to Don Bosco School last year to attend a function and when he spoke with the student, he stated that some of the students from Don Bosco School could go to India on scholarship if they get good marks. Mr. Andrew felt glad that he fulfilled the Ambassador’s offer by getting Indian scholarship to study engineering in India.
