MISS EQUATORIA ADVICES GIRLS ON EDUCATION

Miss Equatoria in Uganda has urged South Sudanese female students in Uganda to take education very serious.

Queen Joan Victoria Wani who is Miss Equatoria under the students association in Uganda uses her title to create awareness among girls in Arua and BidiBidi refugee settlement.

The Queen and the group have embarked on educating young girls on the importance of education.

She stressed on the need for peace and unity in the country in order to realize the goal of girl child education.

Hassa Mary, the second runner for Miss Equatoria in Uganda said they have also been touring schools educating the girl child on how to excel in school.

“We are very happy for the hope they have shown to us due to their good performance in the school,” she said.

“Almost all the schools in Uganda were led by South Sudanese students and most of them are students’ leader which means the future generation will have good leaders,” Mary added.

She advised South Sudanese students not to lose hope despite the difficult situation they were going through in the camps.
