Government committed to peace, says Dr. Igga

The Vice President Dr. James Wani Igga has reiterated the Government’s commitment on the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.

The Vice President made the remark during a peace rally at Nyakuron Cultural Centre last week. The rally was organised by the Jubek State Members of Parliament, and representatives in the National Assembly.

Speaking to participants during the rally, Dr. James Wani Igga urged citizens in the country to keep peace.

“Peace is paramount for economic and infrastructure development,” he said.

Augustino Jadallah Wani, Jubek State Governor echoed that peace is needed throughout the country and Jubek State.

“With stability, better services can be delivered, “Governor Wani said.

A member of the national Assembly Representing Jubek State Dr. Luka Tombekana Monoja also urged youth to promote peace.

“Youth should promote peace in order to create a conducive atmosphere for employment opportunities and you should know that you are the pillars for security and defence in the country,” he said.
