In line with health for the whole nation, President Kiir announced that treatment abroad will be reduced significantly when the expansion of the Juba Teaching Hospital is completed in the next two or less years. The expansion is being taken with a grant from the Chinese people and already the ground breaking was done last Saturday. Where the President told the Nation that the cost of treatment will reduce and all the sick and those in need of high technologies attention will need not to travel outside the country including him. This is good news because a lot of resources have been spent abroad on medical of those who are in need. It will be of great help as the much needed foreign currency being used outside will be saved for other national attention. It will also ensure the availability of drugs and qualified medical personnel accompanying the grant who will also orientate our local doctors with the incoming medical technology. It is true that being sick is a tall order and needs a lot of attention. It is true that with the current situation the country is faced with drop-down in a number of socio-economic needs. With the current peace process on positive move, there is a high hopes that things will improve and demanding situations in all sectors, health service included, will be addressed appropriately. We need patience and soberness to reach there considering where we have come from. We need to give the Government all support to be able to see through these human friendly projects being supported by the friends of this country. China has made it possible to have Juba Teaching Hospital expanded and even before then, their doctors have been working and collaborating with our own in the dispensation of medicine and treatments of the sick in our hospitals. This should be the way a true friend should behave not those giving with string-attached.

MINDSET IS THE POWER HOUSE TO SUCCESS
This time our friend SaPT sounded almost sure of what he was telling us. He was talking about poverty and riches. His take was that “mindset is the power house to success,” it goes like this according to SaPT. “Poverty does not start from the pocket. It begins from the mind. At every age, everyone has the capacity to draw wealth. Your age does not limit your future. The mind can go as far as you can stretch it. How much mind exercise do you do every day?
The human mind is poor by doubt but rich by faith. When you stretch your mind, it gets you to things and places no one else has ever imagined. Where you are today is a product of your mind and where you will be tomorrow is still the product of your mind. If you see yourself in the sky tomorrow, that is where you will be. If you still see yourself around many excuses that restrict one from thinking big “ALWAYS THINK BIG” Opportunity enriches those who accept it without doubt when they find one big, Opportunity doesn’t wait for anyone. Think big, think l can and think it is possible. In many occasions we would have dismissed the notion of this be-spectacle man who always comes up with things on the mindset of his own world. This time around we did not just want to dismiss him. He had made some pure and positive points into one’s life if not all. He had a point which many people would like to shy away from or ignore all together. But in life one needs to examine and re-examine himself while taking positive step for his present and future life. Yesterday is a story or history to be told and referred to only when need be. It is point where you start your life that matters. Why do many people fear taking risk and fear approaching life in its context. Life worth living is life with full success to the set-mind. Those who have succeeded in life have at one time or another taken risk or marched forward in thin line to reach their destinations. Nothing is gotten on a silver platter apart from the privileged few. But a meaningful life must start with positive mind-set to reach the set-up goal. This is why today we can talk positively about our SaPT. Whether he has reached his set destination according to his mind set or not, but he has opened our eyes with this simple but meaningful notion of progress and development in life.
“All wars are fought for the acquisition of wealth.”
“Thou shouldst eat to live; not live to eat.”
“If you want to be a good saddler, saddle the worst horse; for if you can tame one, you can tame all.”
“One should never do wrong in return, nor mistreat any man, no matter how one has been mistreated by him.”
“Be the kind of person that you want people to think you are.”
