Western Lakes State Governor, Matur Chut Dhuol on Monday dismissed his long serving loyalist commissioner, Mabor Makuac Ater.
The Gubernatorial Decree which was broadcasted on the State owned comes a day after the last funeral rite of the Late Chief Mayek Biling Ater who was murdered together with his Son Ater Mayek by unknown gunmen.
Mr. Dhuol also issued separate Decree for the dismissal of the town Court Chairman, Sawat Malual Arop of Eastern Bahr Naam County.
However, the Governor Dhuol had not given any official reason for the dismissal of both Eastern Bahr Naam County commissioner and the Chairman of town Court.
The security situation in Eastern Bahr Naam and Aluakluak Counties of Eastern and Western Lakes State still remain volatile with increasing crimes of rape of passengers, killings, and cattle raiding activities along the border.
In November 2017, President Salva Kiir declared state of emergency in three States of Greater Lakes including Gok, Western and Eastern Lakes, but the order seemed to have been ignored as the States have continued to accuse each other of insecurity in the region.
