Dr. Igga in Mundri for peace dissemination

The Vice President Dr. James Wani Igga is in Mundri, Amadi State for peace dissemination.
Speaking to Juba Monitor yesterday, Manase Doboyi Agoli, Amadi State deputy governor said Dr. Igga was expected to spend some days in the state.
“The purpose of the Vice President’s visit is to come and explain the Revitalized Peace Agreement to the people, especially in Amadi State where people have been waiting for the people with high caliber like Igga,” Agoli said.
He said Igga’s visit was also to brief the SPLM state secretariat on the current peace implementation.
Agoli welcomed Dr. Igga’s visit in the area saying it was his first time to visit Mundri town as Vice President.
Dr. Igga last visited Mundri in 1987 when he was the commander of Sakus battalion during SPLM/A war of struggle.
The deputy Governor reiterated that Dr. Igga coming to the state has boosted confidence and hope among civil population as far as the Revitalized Peace Agreement is concerned.
Dr. Igga has urged senior SPLM-IO in the Amadi State to join hands together and work for peace in the country.
He assured the residents of Amadi State of government’s commitment to form the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (R-TGoNU)
Dr. Igga called on other parties that have not joined the Revitalized-Peace Agreement to join the peace process with the government.
